There is nothing better than the smell of a freshly bathed baby. I mean, seriously, I would buy that scent in a freakin’ candle.
Luckily, Huxley looooves bath time. He giggles and splashes and gets so disappointed when it is over. Here are some of our favorites products for bathing a baby (so far!).
1. AquaScale Tub
Not only is this a baby tub, but it is also a scale and water thermometer. My favorite part is the thermometer. It eases my mind knowing exactly what temperature the water is without adding an extra step. We never have any issues with Huxley slipping around.
2. Tubby Todd Products
Oh man, this brand is a little pricey but let.me.tell.you. It is so worth it! All of the products are made with natural ingredients.
- Hair & Body Wash – Not only does it have a relaxing lavender scent, but it SUDS! Gentle soaps typically do not get very sudsy, and I don’t know about you, but this makes me feel like nothing is getting clean. The scent lasts on Hux for quite some time, and make his hair buttery soft.
- All Over Ointment – This stuff is a miracle cream. The reviews ain’t lyin’. I put it all over Huxley’s body, including his sensitive rosy cheeks, and it moisturizes like nothing I have ever used before.
3. Fridababy SkinSoother
Nothing I have tried from Fridababy so far has disappointed. This company knows what they are doing! While I do use a wash cloth for those places that need an extra scrub, I also run this SkinSoother all over Huxley’s body and head. They consider it a “bath brush” and I think that is pretty spot on. It cleans, but it also brushes off dry skin, eczema, and cradle cap.
4. Shampoo Rinser
Yes, I know you can just use a cup. However, there is something about these that we just love. We have one for the baby and one for the doggies. They are so easy to clean, and the soft material seems much more comfortable than a plastic cup when pressed against their heads.
5. Hooded Towels
I keep telling myself to get an adult-sized one of these. Listen, if you’re reading this I can only assume you have or are about to have a baby in your life. They may seem all happy and giddy while in a nice warm bath. But the moment you lift their nakey little bods out into the freezing cold air, RUN. JK. Do prepared for the look of fear and a loud scream though. These hooded towels help keep them warm from their heads to their toes. I specifically love the lamb ones. Betcha can’t guess why.
Those are the favorites for now! I am sure as he gets older and bigger, we will gain some new loves! I hope you enjoy some of these products as much as we have.
