Alright, if you haven’t figured it out by now, my Amazon prime membership pays for itself over and over again. We’re an “but can we buy it on Amazon?” type of fam. There is just nothing quite as sweet as one or two day delivery with free shipping. And they deliver on Sundays! The VERY best part though … you don’t have to leave your house! (As a mom with a baby, that is pretty huge *sweating emoji*.)
We may have thought we had it all planned out perfectly with our baby registry, but as new parents, there have been many 3 a.m. Amazon buys for things we didn’t realize we needed. Here’s the thing with babies – they’re all so different – so what your best friend Joe recommended may not actually work for you. They also change their minds a lot. Ohhh you liked that swaddle last night but now you hate it? Quick – buy a new kind on Amazon. Ohhh you don’t want any of these 8 brands of pacis we already have? Quick – buy a new kind on Amazon. Ohhh you want to grow out of your size one diapers before you’re 5 minutes old? Quick – buy some new ones on Amazon. You get the point.
Here is a list of our favorite baby related purchases from Amazon! (Wow how many times can I write Amazon in one post.)
Lovevery Play Gym
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see Huxley on this mat every single day. Tummy time is just too stinkin’ cute, I’m sorry! I have already talked about how much I loved this play gym, so I won’t go into it again. BUT I thought it would be a disservice to not mention that it can also be purchased on Amazon. ON PRIME. For the same price that it is sold directly from the company.
Copper Pearl
Before I was even thinking about getting pregnant, this brand would constantly pop up on my insta feed. If you’re anywhere near the baby world (ya have babies, you’re pregnant, you’ve once even considered the thought), I’d be willing to bet you are familiar with this brand. And for good reason! We have plenty of items from them, and we love them all. The material they use is so buttery soft, and perfect for weather year round. Not to mention they have the most adorable prints out there. You can basically find anything on Amazon that you would find on the company website, and everything is the same cost (but with free shipping!) They have everything from matching swaddles and top-knot hats, 5 in 1 covers, burp cloths, and bandana bibs to their new security blankets and milestone blankets.
Budget Friendly Bibs and Burp Cloths
As much as I love Copper Pearl, the price tag isn’t for everyone. I get it, some people don’t want to pay $20 for 4 pieces of cloth that the baby is going to barf on. I have good news for you, friend. Amazon is full of brands that come with more bang for your buck. Here are some of our favorites
- Bandana Bibs (8 for $19 vs Copper Pearl 4 for $20)
- Burp Cloths (4 for $20 vs Copper Pearl 3 for $20)
- Burp Cloths (5 for $19 vs Copper Pearl 3 for $20)
Stroller Toys
These were one of those “3 a.m. ohhhmylanta how’d we get forget that?!” purchases. I was up feeding Hux and watching a YouTube video about some chicks “life with a baby tips” (ya know, multitasking), and she mentioned how her baby is mesmerized by these little dangling toys. Boom, purchases made and toys showed up two days later. She was right. Huxley will stare and these things and bat at them with mesmerized eyes. His favorite ones are the dragon, fox, and (with a little bribing from his ma) the avocado.
Clip On Fan
Having a baby in the middle of July in South Carolina is one hot event, lemme tell ya. We have two of these little clip on fans, and I don’t mean to be dramatic, but they pretty much saved my baby’s and my lives these past few months. I even brought one to the hospital with for me for labor. We bring them everywhere. On walks, in the car, sitting on the couch. It just clips right on to anything (stroller, car seat, etc)!
Boon Drying Rack
I never thought I’d have a faux lawn sitting on my countertop, but if I’m being honest, I freakin’ love it. Not only do I think this thing is adorable, it is so useful. This little lawn makes drying all the bottle pieces and pacis a breeze. I love the cute little accessories too. We use the cactus, twig, and flower.
Oxo Tot Bottle Brush
Speaking of bottles, this is our favorite bottle brush. Is it weird that we have tried a ton of different ones? I don’t know what it is, but some of the brushes just make it it SO difficult to get the bottle clean. Like, bro, isn’t that your purpose? What is you doin’? This particular brush cleans thoroughly, and also has a sturdy stand that goes right on the counter.
Lamb Mobile
I. I am at a loss for words. This little mobile was one of my first baby purchases. I just had to have it. And you know what? I paid 80 buckaroos for it. Freakin’ Amazon didn’t have this a few months ago! You can now find it for $58, and it is on Prime. Huxley is obsessed with his. He will lie in his crib for an hour just staring up at it, making all the cutest coos and giggles.
Pacis
Amazon has got. it. goin’. on. with their paci game. They have everything from Soothies, WubbaNubs, and MAMs, to Ryan and Rose and BIBS. And speaking of pacis, there are also a ton of adorable pacifier clips and teethers.
Wooden Toys
Not only are wooden toys pleasing to the eye, but they have many benefits as well (safe, eco-friendly, more open-ended play, etc)! We have a quite a few favorites:
- Hedgehog Wooden Teether – this is the #1 bestseller on my blog
- Wood Baby Gym – H plays with this multiple times a day
- Wood Clutching Toy – This goes in and out of stock so grab one when you can!
- Wood Montessori Rattle – This comes in tons of cute colors
Fridababy
I am basically at that point in motherhood where if an item is made by Fridababy, I am sold. I started off with just one of their products, and boy has my collection grown. Most purchases made in the middle of the night while freaking out about something ridiculous (like a sniffle), but no purchases regretted.
- Snotsucker – Yeah, you read that right. I seriously spent money on an item that allows me to suck snot (with my own mouth) out of my baby’s nose. Forrealsies though, this thing is a life saver for a stuffed up baby. And, I promise, you won’t get snot in your mouth!
- Sponge – I have already talked about this item in my post about our favorite bath time products. We use this for every bath!
- Humidifier – There are so many humidifiers on the market, and if I am being honest, I picked this one because I learned to trust the brand. We use it every night!
- Nail Clippers – My baby’s nails grow about an inch every night, so we have gotten tons of use out of these. I love them, and they are super easy to use.
- Baby Basics Kit – I wish I knew I’d love this brand to start with. If I had, I would have just gotten this kit with all the essentials!
Daily Essentials
Boy oh boy do you go through diapers, wipes, formula, and laundry detergent at lightening speed. I mean, dang, how much can one baby poop and eat?! How does his laundry pile up faster than both of ours combined?! Having the ability to press a few buttons and have more diapers and formula hand delivered to your house … Oh I can just hear it now … “back in my day, we had to go to the store to get that stuff!” LOL, but seriously, we millennials (as I am rolling my eyes) are pretty dang lucky with some things. They sell Pampers, Huggies, Honest, and more.
Let me know if you happened to count the amount of times I wrote Amazon, and if you have any other items that I should be spending my money on! Until next time …
